Entertaining for the Holidays? (3 things to think about)

With less than 2 weeks to go till Christmas, there are still so many things to do, whether it’s making sure all the presents are wrapped, prepping the menu for Christmas lunch or thinking about how you will accommodate family & friends. Like any other important celebration preparation is the ultimate key to ensure you have the most splendid time, there’s nothing worse than stressing about things on the day, in today’s post I will be sharing 3 ideas to make hosting this year a little easier.

  1. Seating - when hosting over the holidays, additional seating can be easily forgotten; foldable chairs are ideal as they are easy to store and put away once the celebrations are over. You can also utilise chairs from around the house   , even if the chairs are mismatched remember it’s about the ambience and the people rather than if things match.

2. Furniture: don’t be afraid to move furniture around so it is accommodating for your guests plus it also creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere- make use of benches & ottomans for extra seating! if you are limited on space, utilising your kitchen countertops to serve food buffet style is a great way to free up the dinner table.

3. Personalisation - creating place cards is a simple way of personalising your dinner table, you might also want to think about having have smaller centrepieces so you can see each other well without obstructions the idea is to make the small space feel cosy, inviting and warm.
